Prayer
by Galway Kinnell

Whatever happens. Whatever
what is is is what
I want. Only that. But that.

This is one of the most concise poems that points for me to the is-ness of life experience. It’s so gorgeously short, and such a revelation of enough-ness. This pairs with me with the lines from Hazo, “give me whatever is that cannot be again”. So few words, and so full of meaning.
